Varberga Health Center is one of five health centers within the Örebro West operational area, Close Care Area. The catchment area of Varberga Health Center is large and stretches between Närkes Kil and Mellringe to Hjärsta and Varberga. The health center currently has approximately 10,100 registered patients, where the multicultural meets the traditional society, and apartments are mixed with villas and small houses. The health center also has a significant municipal assignment. The focus of the health center is to create quality care, good relationships, and a positive working environment. The multicultural catchment area is reflected in a multicultural workplace where collaboration, community, and team spirit permeate our operations.

In the coming years, employees at Varberga Health Center will have the opportunity to collaboratively develop modern working methods where digital solutions can be part of a completely new health center. The catchment area of Varberga Health Center offers several development opportunities. Already today, there is close cooperation between the health center, Örebro municipality, civil society, and other actors. The health center also has a close collaboration with the municipality in our joint family center. The ambition is to further develop cooperation with additional actors to work preventively and promote the health of patients in the catchment area.

The Close Care Area is tasked with providing care that is commonly occurring, often recurring, or chronic and needs to be geographically close to patients. The area is the hub for the healthcare system's transition towards close care. The idea of close care is to connect care within hospitals, health centers, and municipalities more closely. People with complex needs and chronic illnesses should be met in a better way and work health-promoting and disease-preventive for all county residents.

As a general practitioner at Varberga Health Center, you have great opportunities to influence your own schedule. You can choose to have a varied assignment where your own clinic alternates between planned and acute visits. There is, of course, also the opportunity to work with MVC, BVC, and municipal assignments. You have the option to work full-time with SÄBO or home care. There is also the possibility to combine the municipal assignment with the development of a geriatric care unit at the health center.

Time for continuing education and medical discussions with colleagues is scheduled during the health center's weekly medical meetings. We strive for the work to be well-defined and the workload to be reasonable.

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine. Previous work experience in primary care is an advantage. You are confident in your professional role, pedagogical, and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You have a positive and professional approach to your work, where the patient is the focus, and your ethical values align with the operations we conduct.
